Selector - Criteria - Building dialog

Contains selection controls to specify detailed element information and attributes.

Part
  • Compound — When on, compound part data is included in the selection set.
  • Family — Select the name of the family for selection criteria. If a single family is selected, only parts that are members of that family are included in the selection set.
  • Part — Select the name of the part for your selection criteria. If a single part is selected, only that part is included in the selection set.
  • Containing Text — Enter a portion of text from the family name or part name. Text does not have to include the entire word; and can include more than one part or family. For example, if the letter w is entered, then walls, windows, and wood doors are selected.
Components
  • Family — Select the name of the component family for the selection criteria. If a single family is selected, only components that are members of that family are included in the selection set.
  • Components — Select the name of the component for the selection criteria. If a single component is selected, only that component is included in the selection set.
  • Containing Text — Enter a portion of text from the component family or name. Text does not have to include the entire word; and can include more than one component or family. For example, if 02 is entered, then component families including 02 would all be selected.
Unit Price Enter the range of unit price for selection criteria. Only components within that unit price range are included in the selection set.
Spec. Text Enter the specification text for selection criteria. This data is found in the Family/Part Editor, Components View, Specification Text tab. Only components with this specification text are included in the selection set.
Date and Time
  • Between — Enter the date and time the item was modified in the model. Only the elements modified within the date and time range are included in the selection set.
ID
  • ID — Enter the element ID number for selection criteria. The element ID number can be found using Element Information. Only elements with the entered ID are included in the selection set.
  • Label — When on, specified labels are used to search for elements in the DGN file. Only elements with the specified label are included in the selection set.
Post Process Actions
  • Render View — Render the view number entered. Rendering occurs when you click Apply in the Select By Attributes dialog.
  • Zoom View — Zoom in on the selection set in the view number entered. The zoom occurs when you click Apply in the Select By Attributes dialog.
